I LOVE TO COOK AND COLLECT RECIPES

I have always loved to cook (mostly from stratch). I have collected many cook books in my 58 years.
My mother didn't let me cook or help out in the kitchen when I was young. She always said no, you will just make a mess. The only thing she taught me how to cook was chocolate chip cookies. My dads favorite cookie and she didn't like to make cookies. She was a great cook and loved to cook.
So when I got into high school I had to take cooking classes. I would rather take shop but back then they didn't let girls take shop.
My parents split up when I was 16 and I lived with my dad. First thing he bought me was a cook book. Boy did I ruin some meals. I wound up calling my aunt a lot for help.
I did learn to cook and cook pretty good. I even made up some of my own recipes and modified some to suit my familys taste.
